Food Photography “Still Life”
Professional Food Photography
All food outlets retail or wholesale can only benefit from good quality professional food photography.
No matter if it’s a complex still life that took days to set up and dress, or a simpler concern like this one using whatever is to hand to build the composition. If a professional food photographer puts some effort is into composition, lighting and selective focus available on his view camera, then you will get a fabulous result that can only help any food business.
Staiths Cafe food
Following a couple of PR photography shoots at Staiths Cafe in Gateshead I noticed their tweeted photos of could do with a lift and offered to help them with some professional Food Photography.
This small start up business might not be the home of a TV chef looking to use photography in their latest cookbook but pro photography will still help support and promote their business. In fact good quality professional food photography could well make a bigger impact for this small business as they will stand out from similar businesses around them tweeting bowls of chips from their smartphone cameras.
Using professional photographs
With social networks and websites it is cheaper and easier than ever to promote any business simply by publishing good photography online.
The best thing about it, is most small businesses do not invest in professional photography to do this. I say “the best thing” because all this client needed was a handful of professional photographs with a little depth and quality lighting to make their own food stand head and shoulders above the competition.
