Free North East business networking
Something for Businesses around the Tyne
I was at two business networking events this week, both of which are very informal, casual affairs. To my mind far more enjoyable and social than those structured events, you know the ones, you stand in turn and announce yourself – “I’m Bruce I’m an alcoholic and I’ve been 6 moths dry . . .” not for me I’m afraid! If, like me, you prefer an in formal chat over coffee where you can network and be more social all at the same time you should try these events.
Networking in Newcastle
On Thursday at noon I was at G Casino in Newcastle you will find details and book on Eventbright, there must have been around 40 or more in attendance, the event and coffee are free but there is also a great optional £5 lunch available.
Networking in Gateshead
On Friday I was up bright and early, (OK I was late, about an hour late but I had a job to drop off on route and we got a new bed this week that is very difficult to get out of) to attend the Mussel Club event 8am – 10am at the Ramanda Encore hotel in Gateshead. Again this event is very informal with free tea and coffee. The Mussel Club have their own website http://www.themusselclub.com where you can book online for their events. It’s free to register and set up a profile on the website so that’s not going to hurt your business brand awareness.
Even if your not looking for clients or suppliers I personally find this informal networking very helpful and supportive with self employed people socialising and looking to share experiences. Maybe I will see you at one of these soon.
